“One of the things we’ve already begun doing is what we call the pivot from the film to maintaining this national discussion about Alzheimer’s Disease alive,” said Stearns. “This idea is something Maria Shriver is really most advantageous in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association – a women’s campaign. The first phase of that is termed The Women Behind ‘Still Alice. ‘ It’s a chunk that ran on ‘The Today Show’ a pair weeks ago. It was an ad in the New York Times and it will be in a handful of weeklies and daily publications.
It depicts seven women behind the film. So it for sure has Julianne Moore and co star Kristen Stewart and Maria Shriver. It also has Lisa Genova, Pam Koffler and myself, and it also has Sandy Oltz sitting right next to Julianne Moore. The 7th woman is the pinnacle of medical science team for the Alzheimer’s Association, Maria Carrillo.
