Push notifications can also work on computer systems, though they’re a bit various in that format. Web push notifications are restricted to browser based opt ins, and don’t work if the user’s browser is closed. They’re also harder to get people to use than on mobile, simply since it’s an unfamiliar and explicitly advertising channel that many folks don’t are looking to enable. I commonly agree with push notifications to be a solely mobile format, though many people use them to good effect with computer users besides.
