The NDIA Policy team screens, advocates for, and educates government stakeholders on, policy concerns of importance to the defense industrial base. Our assignment is to ensure the persevered existence of a viable, competitive countrywide era and business base, improve the government industry partnership through discussion, and provide interaction among the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. The Policy team also represents NDIA in several inter affiliation groups representing the protection industry and the government contracting community including the Council of Defense and Space Industry Associations CODSIA, the Acquisition Reform Working Group ARWG, and the Industry Logistics Coalition ILC. Over the past three years, the Policy team has led NDIA’s Acquisition Reform Initiative.
This effort has provided legislative options to help Congressional acquisition reform efforts, many of which were enacted or motivated final provisions in the Fiscal Year 2016 and Fiscal Year 2017 National Defense Authorization Acts. Policy staff regularly meets with key policy stakeholders, and manages Congressional interaction with NDIA Chapters and Divisions. NDIA’s vast community of participants embodies the full spectrum of corporate, authorities, tutorial, and individual stakeholders who recommend for a robust, vigilant, and creative countrywide protection. As a part of this diverse network, over 1,610 company and 65,000 individual individuals are actively coming up best practices, projects, era, and merchandise in protection with endured advice and comments from key stakeholders. NDIA Affiliates are subsidiary businesses that focus on exact areas and missions associated to it’s community of interest. Each affiliate has its own club, structure, and dues.
